Types of Articles                                                             

There are various types of articles nevertheless JIASD accepts research and review articles so far but other types of articles (such as communication, essay, perspective, conference report, project reports, technical note) maybe discussed with the Editor-in-Chief of Journal prior to submission. Research articles are considered original research articles which analyzed the new data comprising primary or secondary, give new insight or new findings of the scientific research. While, review article are the articles which provides comprehensive analysis of the existing literature within a field of study, find research gap and give suggestions / recommendations and provide new research ideas.

Authors Layout Style Guide

JIASD does not have restriction on the length of paper; however, the authors are requested to keep their findings concise and comprehensive. The manuscript must contain all necessary information on methods applied so that the results may be reproduced. It is necessary that the manuscripts submitted to “JIASD” should neither be published nor under consideration in any other journal. The corresponding author must declare in cover letter to the Editor that the publication of article is approved by all co-authors, if any and its publication has been approved by all related authorities.

Prior permission must be obtained to publish any data that has been published elsewhere including figures, tables and text passages etc. The JIASD do not hold any responsibility of claims for any compensation.

Structure and Formatting

Manuscript should be written in Microsoft word using Times New Roman style with font size 11 with single spaced, page size of document should be A4 and 2.54 cm margin on each side (top, bottom, left and right sides). Headings are defined for the articles and authors should use up to three levels of headings/subheadings but, if necessary, forth level subheading can be used (such as, 1., 2.1., 3.1.1, 4.1.1.1). First heading should be bold and straight, second heading/subheading should be bold and italic and third level should be italic but not in bold while forth level can be kept straight and not bold.

Page and line numbering (with continues option) is compulsory, we suggest author should download sample paper from the JIASD page and organize their manuscripts accordingly.

The manuscript should be divided in following sections

Title Page

Title page is also called front matter. It includes type of article, title of article and authors information including names, corresponding institutes, corresponding author’s detail. It should be separate from the abstract and body of the article.

Title of Article

The title should be specific, relevant and contain major theme to convey the main results of the research. The authors should try to avoid the use of abbreviations in the title. Keeping readers and audience in mind, authors should write the original and creative title but should not detract from the theme of the research.

Authors and affiliations

In order to identify who contributed to the article, full names of all authors must be provided (in order to the first name last name with capital initials) along with their institutional/organizational affiliations and email of each author. JIASD recommends to authors to use their institutional email. The name of corresponding author should be designated with an asterisk (*) and full postal as well as email address must be given for corresponding regarding editorial process.

Abstract

JIASD considered an abstract not exceeding 250 words with only one paragraph. This section should briefly indicate the background and purpose, methodology, results, and conclusion without subheadings in the sequence mentioned in this sentence. Failing to following the instruction in this regard will lead to rejection without review. The use of references as well as undefined abbreviations must be avoided in this section. Abstract section should be placed on a separate page next to the title page in the same file.

The abstract is crucial section of an article which remains with the title and it is a presentation as a piece of research work in terms of summary of the article. It should give good impression and overview to readers, scholars and audience therefore authors should write this section very carefully and should focus on making it informative and comprehensive.

Keywords: The authors should include 4 to 6 keywords related to the study as well common in subject discipline. Key words should not be present in main title and vice versa

Introduction

The “Introduction” should highlight the importance of study in a broad context. It should contain information on previous results in the subject. The contradictory or diverging hypotheses may be included, where necessary. The current state of knowledge should be carefully built and related to recent literature in the subject area. Specific objective of the study should also be included in this section.

Methodology

This section must include sufficient detail of the procedures followed during the study. It is necessary to provide all information for any new methods or protocols being developed, whereas brief detail of previous methods should be included with proper citation. Details about statistical analysis and statistical package should be provided.

Results

The “Results” must be provided as separate section. A concise detail of experimental / survey results should be provided with interpretations as well as experimental conclusions that can be drawn from the findings.

Tables and Figures

Tables and figures should be added / insert in the text at the original place or at appropriated to the text. Tables and Figures must have captions and footnote and must be numbered consecutively in the same order in which those are cited in the text. Figures should be very clear with at least minimum 300dpi in JPG form.

Discussion

The authors must discuss and interpret their results in context of previous studies. The major findings of the study must be discussed specifically with mechanistic reasoning and highlight the limitations of the work. The discussed results should lead to future directions in subject area. Results can also be discussed under different headings as well.

Conclusions

A brief conclusion highlighting the major findings of the study should be provided at the end of the manuscript indicating essence of work. Limitation of the work and suggested future research should also be provided in this section or in a separate section.

Acknowledgements

Name of persons can be mentioned in this section who provided support and help in the research work.

Funding

All sources of funding should be mentioned in this section.

Contribution of Authors

Contribution of the research work is very important and it should be only those who really contributed and should mention very clearly.

Conflict of Interest

The authors must declare if there is any potential conflict of interest.

 References Citation and Style

For reference, American Psychological Association (APA - 7th edition) style is considered by JIASD and it is recommended that author should prepare reference style by using Mendeley or EndNote software.

Reference should be cited in the text as the following.

If single author, Jarvis (1994) or (Jarvis, 1994); if single author but two citation of the same author in the same year then Jarvis (1994a,b) or (Jarvis, 1994a,b); if two author, Scott & Jaggard (1993) or (Scott & Jaggard, 1993); if three or more authors of the article, Ferris et al. (1990) or (Ferris et al., 1990); if two or more articles cited (Ferris et al., 1990; Scott and Jaggard, 1993; Jarvis, 1994; Edmondson, 1998).

Authors should deliberate the guidelines as following while preparing reference list.

Submission of manuscripts to JIASD

Manuscript in English language can be submitted by using JIASD online system (link of JIASD). After safe receipt, manuscripts are assigned an identity number (for instance, JIASD-22-001) for future correspondence. Review process usually take 6 to 8 weeks and final decision whatsoever is conveyed to the corresponding author. If paper is accepted editor will correspond to corresponding authors for approval of proofs and submission of copyright form.
